Sacraments
The sacraments are the sacred heart of Catholic life, moments where God meets us in the most important passages of our journey.
At St. Antonius van Padua, we celebrate all seven sacraments with joy, reverence, and the warmth of our Filipino faith tradition.
Each sacrament requires some form of preparation and scheduling.
Please read the details below for each sacrament, and do not hesitate to reach out to us; we are here to guide and accompany you every step of the way.
Nandito kami para sa inyo.

Baptism (Binyag)
It is with great joy that our Filipino Catholic community welcomes new members into the Church through the Sacrament of Baptism!
Baptism is the first and most fundamental sacrament of initiation, the moment a soul is reborn in Christ and welcomed into the family of God. Whether you are baptizing an infant, a child, or seeking Baptism as an adult, we are honored to walk this journey with you.
"Ang bawat binyag ay isang pagdiriwang ng bagong buhay sa Diyos."
Every baptism is a celebration of new life in God.
What to Expect
Schedule: Baptisms are celebrated on [designated Sundays — to be confirmed]. No baptisms are held during the season of Lent.
Preparation: Parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Session before the sacrament is scheduled. This session helps families understand the meaning and responsibilities of Baptism.
Godparents: At least one Catholic godparent is required. Godparents must be baptized and confirmed Catholics who are actively practicing their faith. A letter of good standing from their home parish may be required.
Registration: Please contact us in advance to begin the registration process. Baptisms cannot be scheduled without completing preparation requirements first.

Holy Eucharist
(Banal na Komunyon)
The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic life. Every Mass we celebrate is an encounter with the living Christ, present in the breaking of the bread and in the community gathered in His name. Receiving Holy Communion is the most intimate union we can have with God on this side of heaven.
"Ito ang aking katawan na ibibigay para sa inyo."
"This is my body, given for you." (Luke 22:19)
Preparation for Children: First Holy Communion preparation for children is available and follows a structured formation program. Children typically prepare during their early years of faith formation.
Eligibility: Children who have been baptized Catholic and have received their First Reconciliation are prepared to receive First Holy Communion.
For Adults: Adults who have never received First Communion are warmly welcome. Please reach out to us, and we will guide you through the preparation process, which may be done alongside our RCIA/initiation pathway.
