We are Filipino Catholics from the provinces and cities of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, now living and working in Tilburg and the surrounding areas of the Netherlands. We came together out of a shared longing: to worship in our own language, to keep our faith alive, and to feel at home in a foreign land. Gathering under the roof of St. Antonius van Padua, a church with a rich history, now part of the Emmausparochie Tilburg, we have built something beautiful: a community that honors both our Filipino heritage and our Dutch home.
Like many Filipinos across the world, we carry our Catholicism wherever we go, it is woven into who we are. Our community is joyful, prayerful, and deeply hospitable, guided by the spirit of bayanihan, the Filipino value of communal unity and cooperation, in everything we do, from organizing parish events to walking alongside members in times of need.
Every 4th Sunday of the month, no matter where we come from or what we do, we gather as one. We warmly welcome Filipinos of all backgrounds, as well as non-Filipino partners, families, and friends who wish to experience the warmth of Filipino Catholic worship.
Our Mission
We, the Filipino Catholic Community of St. Antonius van Padua, part of the Emmausparochie Tilburg, are called to be a joyful, welcoming, and prayerful community of faith. We commit ourselves to nurturing the spiritual growth of every Filipino Catholic in Tilburg and beyond, celebrating the sacraments with devotion, and living out the Gospel through acts of charity, compassion, and solidarity.
